UEFA SUPER CUP 2015 Opening Ceremony in Tbilisi

Platige Image has produced the opening ceremony of the UEFA Super Cup 2015 in Tbilisi, before match of FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC, which took place on 11th August in Georgia. A short pre-match show at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi was dedicated to the two clubs who participated in the Super Cup, that is the winners of this year’s Champions League and Europa League finals. 200 dancers from Georgian folk ensemble “Erisioni” participated in the opening ceremony and performed a national dance. Also for the first time in history, UEFA has also invited 1,000 children from eight countries neighbouring Georgia, which are normally in conflict to share a peaceful message to the world: “Football united for peace.” Together with football players children created a human chain on the pitch just before the match, while a song “Imagine” by John Lennon was being performed by Georgian kids.

It was another opening ceremony produced by Platige Image for UEFA – the first preceded the UEFA Europa League Final, which took place on May 27th at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
