2010.04.26   The Kinematograph at 50th Krakow Film Festival

The Kinematograph  by Tomek Baginski has been selected for the International Short Film Competition as one of two Polish productions to compete for the prize of Golden Dragon for best animated film at the 50th Krakow Film Festival. Simultaneously, Baginski’s work will be presented in the National Competition, whose winner will receive the Golden Hobby-Horse prize.

Krakow Film Festival  is one of the oldest and most prestigious European events devoted to documentary, animated and short feature films. Its status is confirmed by the fact that the event belongs among the festivals accredited by FIAPF (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films; eng. International Federation of Film Producers Associations), EFA (European Film Award) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Laureates of the festival will receive direct nominations for European Film Awards as well as Oscar nominations (category: Short Film [Animated]).

This year’s event begins on May 31, the winners will be announced on June 6.

Tomek Baginski's “The Kinematograph” will be shown at 12. Cinema at the Border Film Festival. The screening will take place 1 May at 21h and will also include "Esterhazy" by Izabela Plucinska and "Rabbit a la Berlin" by Bartek Konopka. Official website
