With great pleasure we would like to announce that among all the films admitted to the official selection of the 66th Venice International Film Festival there is the latest animation from Platige Image "The Kinematograph". Tomek Bagiński's project is the only Polish film production that has been admitted to the competition at this prestigious film event. The world premiere which will take place at the festival is the beginning of the film’s world festival circulation.

Yesterday a conference announcing the beginning of works on "HARDKOR 44" by Tomek Bagiński, Platige Image studio and the Warsaw Rising Museum took place.

"HARDKOR 44" is a full-length film about the Warsaw Rising which will be made in the same technique that was used in the making of two famous comics: "300" and "Sin City". Real actors will appear in it and the film world will be created using computer techniques. It will enable creating a story with unusual special effects which will attract a young viewer and will move the history of the Warsaw Rising from the local dimension to the global one.

At the beginning of 2009 Platige Image began working on over 80 takes for the latest film by Lars Von Trier, "Antichrist". This project was a great challenge partly because the Director himself was our client, and partly because the effects we were working on were an unusual blend of subtlety and horror. It is difficult to talk about typical Hollywood effects full of spectacular blasts or characters in this project. Even if our work is much more subtle, it had a considerable influence on the final version of "Antichrist".
