
2010.02.25 Platige Image produces films for Expo 2010 in Shanghai
The work on Animated History of Poland and Polish Economy is almost over. Both films are being produced for Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (www.parp.gov.pl). They will be shown in Polish section during EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
The first, directed by Tomek Bagiński shows over thousand years of Polish history within eight minutes dynamic animation. The second, directed by Rafał Wojtunik, shows present possibilities and potential of the country.
2010.02.08 Danish Film Academy awarded "Antichrist" for special effects
We are happy to announce that "Antichrist" received seven Roberts – awards of Danish Film Academy. They were given during a ceremony in Copenhagen on 7th February. The most important for us is, of course, the award for the best special effects. They were given to the lead of vfx, Peter Hjorth, Soda and Ota Bares. We feel proud of the award for "Antichrist".
2010.02.04 “The Kinematograph” directed by Tomek Bagiński finished the adventure with Oscar
American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced nominations to 82nd edition of Oscar award. "The Kinematograph" directed by Tomek Bagiński wasn't chosen in the Animated Short Film category. The film was chosen among 10 short animations at the short list. In 2003 the Academy nominated "The Cathedral" by Tomek Bagiński in 2003.
